Cantilan Bank Wins "Paeng" Microfinance Award

Cantilan Bank was honored by the Rafael Buenaventura Microfinance Center Foundation Inc. on November 27, 2013 for being one of the five most outstanding microfinance institutions and for having the best micro-deposit product for students and CCT beneficiaries in the country particularly in remote areas where microfinance services are mostly needed.
Out of the many entries submitted to the Rafael Buenaventura Microfinance Foundation, CBI was found to be deserving of the award according to their set criteria.
The first ever “Paeng” awards aim to recognize the achievements made by the outstanding microfinance institutions and at the same time to honor the late BSP governor, Rafael B. Buenaventura who made a huge impact in the positive transformation of MFIs here in the country.
The “Paeng” award for CBI was received by Executive Vice President Brig. Gen. Charles Y. Hotchkiss (Ret.) and Office of Strategic Management head Ms. Tanya P. Hotchkiss during the awarding ceremony held at BSP Complex, Roxas Boulevard, Manila.
