Regulatory reporting is simplified and more efficient with the dynamic reporting platform. Now that all Cantilan Bank’s processes and data are consolidated, they can focus more resources on their clients and serving their needs. CANBNK Environmental Protection Program (February 27, 2019)
Cantilan Bank continues to show love for the environment thru its personnel who regularly volunteer themselves for community-based programs such as the shoreline cleanup conducted on February 23, 2019 at Inijakan island in Cantilan, Surigao del Sur.
Volunteers were able to collect ten (10) sacks of solid wastes, mostly plastics that harm the lives of the aquatic creatures. Most of these wastes are being eaten by fishes that end up in our plates for consumption. With this environmental commitment, CANBNK aims to help the communities attain a healthy food and a sustainable environment.
Cantilan Bank is set to roll out soon another innovative financial technology through UnionBank of the Philippines' blockchain-based inter-rural bank payments platform powered by ConsenSys. "Hosted by Cantilan Bank, the first rural bank that showed an interest in the project and one of five initially engaged in the pilot, ConsenSys and UnionBank spent a week deep-diving in the local culture and economy, conducting user research with staff members and customers, mapping their current services and operations to identify pain-points and improvement opportunities and ultimately, start designing our solution," says Claudio Lisco, solutions venture architect for Project i2i.
Project i2i is a payment network that runs on Enterprise Ethereum. It's been designed to enable and facilitate transaction through tokenised cash supported by flat currency. The technology allows participating banks to instruct and settle remittances, consolidating the messaging, execution and accounting of transactions. #CantilanBankontheBlockchain#financialinclusion#digitalfinance#blockchain
