Tanya Hotchkiss is the Executive Vice President and a member of the board of directors of Cantilan Bank, one of the top rural banks in the Philippines and the recipient of the 2015 International Microfinance Best Practices Award from Fondazione Giordano dell'Amore. As EVP, she primarily oversees the corporate services group including the IT and Strategic Management divisions. She is responsible for leading an integrated effort to define the bank’s overall corporate strategy related to sustainable growth opportunities, marketing and branding, IT and digital services, consumer protection, and financial inclusion.
She concurrently serves as executive director of the Hotchkiss Foundation and administrator of the Hotchkiss Learning Center, where she directly oversees the foundation’s island ecology conservation work and the school’s conservation education program.
Hotchkiss earned her Masters degree in Development, Innovation and Change from the University of Bologna in Italy in 2011. For her outstanding work in the international development community, she received the Devex 40 Under 40 award in 2013 in Manila. In April 2016, she completed the HBS-Accion executive program on Strategic Leadership in Inclusive Finance at the Harvard Business School.
